European Mobility Week 16th – 22nd September 2011 & Car Free Day 22nd September

St Patrick’s Junior School along with students from Green Schools all over Ireland celebrated European Mobility Week
16th – 22nd September 2011.  They showed their support for a greener, healthier environment by encouraging pupils,
parents and teachers to leave the car at home whenever possible.

To help promote European Mobility Week and Car Free Day, St Patrick’s Junior School hosted a travel forum in the school
on Thursday 22nd September. Seven schools from the surrounding area who are also working on the Travel Flag attended..

Students from St Patrick’s Green School Committee gave apresentation of their work done to date. 
There were games and a Travel theme interactive Quiz followed by a fun presentation on the Travel theme.
Participating children received a ‘healthy goodie bag’.
